Marissa Yamada is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist originally from Los Angeles, CA. Since graduating from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio with both her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Sciences with a minor in Health Communications and a Masters of Arts in Speech Language Pathology, she has had to opportunity to work for a variety of settings working with both pediatrics and adults. She is licensed in Illinois, California, Kentucky, and Connecticut and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Marissa developed a passion for empowering individuals of all ages and abilities by helping them find their voice to develop meaningful connections with those around them. She values collaboration and trust amongst her families as she strives to foster a strong working relationship to ensure strides of progress and success.
Marissa aims to provide evidence-based practice care and cultivate an empathetic and warm environment, whether services are in-person or via telehealth.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring the all restaurants and coffee shops Chicago has to offer with her husband and dog, Tucker. She also enjoys knitting and baking delicious treats.
